North Queensland Fresh Pty Ltd is looking for experienced and reliable Fitters to join their team at their fresh produce packing shed in Gumlu, QLD.

About the Role:
Fitters will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving machinery and equipment used in fresh produce packing. This hands-on role includes mechanical maintenance, fabrication, general grounds work, and supporting food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and repair packing shed machinery and equipment

• Monitor water treatment and chemical dosing systems

• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks

• Operate forklifts and assist in operator training

• Carry out general site maintenance such as mowing, fencing, and pest control

• Maintain accurate records and follow WHS and hygiene procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience

• Relevant trade qualification

• Skills in welding, fabrication, and mechanical systems

• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals

• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)

• QLD driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain)

• Chemical Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
