Diesel Mechanic

Ballarat Performance Vehicles have been selling and servicing new and used vehicles in Ballarat and the surrounding region of Victoria for more than 25 years. The company is currently seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanics to join their teams in Ballarat VIC, Mount Gambier SA and Corio VIC.


Duties & Responsibilities:  

- Maintain, test and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems and Hydraulic systems on trucks, buses and other heavy plant machinery/equipment at our workshop and field servicing/breakdowns as required
- Carry out tasks at the highest standard possible while meeting requirement deadlines
- Carry out inspections and assessments on vehicles as required and complete the relevant documentation
- Conduct all activities in a manner to ensure personal safety, safety of others and environmental protection


Skills and Qualifications required:   

- Ideally have a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a qualified Diesel Mechanic
- A Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology /Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or relevant
- Ideally you will have a sound background working at dealership level 


Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with skills and experience.
