About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Worker (Group Leader) to join our team. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to work closely with children, families, and educators to provide enriching care and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and caring for children in day care, pre-school, or similar settings.
  • Assisting in planning, implementing, and evaluating daily programs that encourage children’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.
  • Supporting children’s routines including meals, rest, hygiene, and play.
  • Guiding and encouraging children’s behaviour in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Assisting with the preparation of materials and resources for learning activities.
  • Monitoring the safety and wellbeing of children, and responding to their individual needs.
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with families to support children’s development.
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards, as well as child protection policies.
  • Contributing to the overall operation and continuous improvement of the centre.

Skills & Experience

  • A relevant Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
  • Relevant working experience of 1-2 years working in a childcare or early learning setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early years learning frameworks.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and First Aid/CPR certification.
