Software Engineer

IEC joined the global game industry with the goal of producing and publishing quality games that players can easily download on every platform of the phone. We are confident with a strong technology base and a team of enthusiastic staff, constantly striving to pioneer in the domestic mobile game market. Headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, IEC Corporation has set up its branch offices in QLD and NSW. We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer with substantial achievements in mobile game industry and software project management. You will be working side by side with IEC founder to establish our foothold in Australia. You will lead a team of Vietnamese and Australian game developers to design and roll out new projects for our global expansion plan.

Job Description:

• Plan, organize, and prioritize projects, ensuring they are completed within specified timelines and meet the required quality standards.
• Review code written by team members, offer constructive feedback, and provide guidance to improve coding practices and maintain code quality.
• Lead the development of complex software solutions and resolving technical challenges to set high standards for the team.
• Identify skill gaps within the team and arrange training or professional development opportunities to enhance the team's capabilities.
• Encourage and enforce comprehensive code documentation practices to ensure ease of maintenance and future development.
• Develop mobile games using the Unity game engine, leveraging C# scripting and Unity's mobile-specific features and optimizations.
• Implement game mechanics, user interfaces, and gameplay systems to create engaging and interactive experiences for mobile users.
• Optimize the game's performance to ensure smooth gameplay and efficient resource usage on mobile devices.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks, memory leaks, and performance issues to achieve high frame rates and responsiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile devices, operating systems, and hardware capabilities to develop games that leverage the latest technologies.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to address bug reports and ensure a stable and bug-free gaming experience for users.

Requirements:

• At least a bachelor degree in software engineering or a highly related field
• Minimum 5 years of game development experience including substantial management credentials
• Strong time management, organisation skills and an ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• A Vietnamese and English bilingual speaker
• A positive personality with can do attitude
