Debe Group PTY LTD (T/A By Sang) is a Japanese restaurant in Zetland, NSW.  We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified chef to join our team in Zetland.

The successful candidates will be needed to undertake and possess;

• Ensure all food are prepared as per food preparation requirements 
• Ensure meals are produced on time and sufficient quantities are available for the various areas 
• Plan the menu
• Monitor the quality of the dishes 
• Research each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
• Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
• Kitchen staff management
• Ensure all kitchen staff are aware of their duties and what is expected of them 
• Delegate duties to the kitchen staff as per the menu requirements 
• Give staff feedback on their performance to enable staff development 
• Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
• Inventory and Stock management
• Maintain cleanliness
• Customer interaction
• Follow Food safety Standards
• Monitor ingredient quality
• Minimize waste

Skills and abilities

• Ideally have a Diploma of Hospitality Management or relevant
• Minimum of 1 year work experience
• Ability to work in a team environment
• OH&S awareness
• Punctual, organised and trustworthy 
• Professional appearance 
• Ability to manage other people 
• Ability to motivate staff 
• Excellent communication skills 

Salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 pa commensurate with experience.
