Torc Tight is one of Australia’s fastest-growing calibration service providers, operating from two locations in Brisbane and Far North Queensland. With a rapidly expanding fleet of mobile calibration trucks, we service a wide range of customers across various industries. They are looking for Mechanical Engineering Technician who will support mechanical engineer and service team by delivering on-site calibration services, performing diagnostics, and ensuring the operational accuracy of mechanical and industrial tools.

The role involves technical servicing, adjustment, and quality verification of mechanical systems in industrial and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of mechanical and calibration systems for industrial applications.
  • Calibrate a wide range of industrial tools, instruments, and mechanical equipment to meet compliance and performance standards.
  • Conduct diagnostics and minor repairs on torque tools, pressure gauges, and other workshop equipment.
  • Travel to customer sites across Queensland and interstate as part of a mobile servicing team.
  • Maintain detailed service, calibration, and inspection records in line with company and client requirements.
  • Liaise with engineers, workshop supervisors, and clients to ensure tool compliance, reliability, and accuracy.
  • Use measurement and testing tools to verify tolerances, functionality, and calibration specifications.
  • Support the commissioning and quality assurance of calibration systems and procedures.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards, including completion of field documentation and safety protocols.

Qualification

  • Relevant experience for a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
