Position: Carpenter – Full-Time

Salary: $103,000 – $109,000 + Superannuation

About the Role

The Carpenter will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry tasks, from constructing frameworks to installing fittings, ensuring structural integrity and quality finishes in all aspects of building work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work orders to plan carpentry tasks.
  • Construct, assemble, install, and repair frameworks, walls, roofs, floors, and other wooden structures.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and join timber and other building materials with precision.
  • Install fixtures, fittings, doors, windows, staircases, and cabinets.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
  • Inspect and maintain completed work to meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with other trades and site supervisors to meet project deadlines.
  • Follow occupational health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist with on-site problem-solving, adjustments, and modifications as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent trade qualification).
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant experience in carpentry roles.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Skilled in the use of carpentry tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Current White Card and driver’s licence are preferred.
