Salary: $68,864 to $76,515 per annum plus super annuation

Warrnambool Dental, trading as The Trustee for Ganpati Family Trust (Ganpati Dental Pty Ltd), is seeking a skilled and dedicated Full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at our state-of-the-art clinic located at 454a Raglan Parade, Warrnambool, VIC 3280.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Dental Practitioners and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. Your tasks will include:

• Preparing and mixing materials during dental procedures as required
• Arranging and handing instruments, medication, and other dental requisites to Dental Practitioners
• Coordinating and preparing patients during treatments
• Taking and processing dental X-rays and guiding patients through the post-operative process as per dentist's directions
• Using suction devices and water sprays
• Ensuring the clinic and machines are cleaned and sterilized according to compliance requirements and infection control protocols
• Maintaining and recording patient information
• Educating patients on oral hygiene practices
• Assisting with reception duties for Dental Practitioners
• Processing payments and assisting patients with billing inquiries

To excel in this role, the following skills and qualifications are required:

• Minimum one year of experience in the relevant field
• Good level of skills in areas of general dentistry
• Excellent communication skills and people skills
• Excellent infection control knowledge and practices
• Good work ethics with excellent diagnostic skills and treatment planning ability
• Outstanding patient care and empathy
