Position: General Practitioner (Full-Time)
Location: Bargara, Queensland

Estimated Annual Earnings: $140,000 to $160,000 + (based on 60% of Medicare billings)

Grace Family Practice & Skin Care is a fully accredited training practice in the vibrant coastal community of Bargara, just 15 minutes from Bundaberg. We provide a wide range of general practice services, including skin cancer care, chronic disease management, minor procedures, aged care, and family health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient consultations to assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Order and interpret pathology, radiology, and other diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with best practice
• Perform minor procedures (e.g. suturing, biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion excisions)
• Provide preventive health advice, including lifestyle and mental health support
• Develop and review chronic disease management and mental health care plans
• Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare professionals where required
• Document clinical findings and maintain comprehensive patient records
• Provide antenatal/postnatal care, cervical screening, family planning, and Implanon insertion
• Deliver immunisations and follow the Australian childhood vaccination schedule
• Conduct nursing home, aged care, and home visits as needed
• Participate in clinical meetings, audits, training sessions, and educational activities

Scope of Clinical Skills:

You will be expected to manage a broad range of conditions across:

• General Medicine: Diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, cardiovascular disease
• Skin & Dermatology: Skin cancers (SCC, BCC, melanoma), eczema, psoriasis
• Musculoskeletal & Orthopaedics: Arthritis, fractures, soft tissue injuries
• Women’s & Men’s Health: Antenatal/postnatal care, prostate checks, contraception
• Paediatrics: Developmental concerns, immunisations, acute and chronic illness
• Mental Health: Anxiety, depression, addiction, MHCPs and referrals
• Procedures: Cryotherapy, suturing, abscess drainage, ECGs, biopsies
• Emergency & Aged Care: Falls, dementia, BLS/ALS, RACF and home visits
• Teaching: Contribute to education of medical students and registrars

Qualifications, Experience and other requirements:

• Full or provisional registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
• Recognised medical qualifications (e.g. MBBS, FRACGP, FACRRM, or equivalent)
• Fellowship with RACGP/FACRRM OR Non-VR doctors actively working toward fellowship
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred medical care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Current medical indemnity insurance and eligibility for a Medicare provider number
