Position: Civil Engineer – Full-Time

Salary: $120,000 – $124,000 + Superannuation

 

About the Role

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure. The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse survey reports, maps, and data to plan construction projects.
  • Design civil engineering structures such as roads, drainage systems, foundations, and reinforced concrete works.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Oversee site preparation, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure works.
  • Ensure projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and environmental impact studies.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to resolve design and construction issues.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, providing reports to management.
  • Supervise and mentor site engineers, technical staff, and subcontractors.
  • Use engineering software to model, design, and analyse structures and systems.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in civil engineering design and construction.
  • Proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit).
  • Strong understanding of Australian building codes, OH&S, and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Registration with Engineers Australia (preferred).
