WEST DUBBO BOWLING CLUB LTD trading as CLUB DUBBO is looking for a full time Retail Manager (General).
Since taking over the Bistro, the number of main meals served each week has almost doubled. The club’s function income has also increased due to a better variety of catering options for functions of all types, ranging from corporate training days right through to three course banquets. We are now looking for someone to take the helm of this busy operation.
To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Manages the daily operations of retail establishments
- Manages and supervises staff, including hiring, rostering, training and performance evaluation
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Monitors and analyses sales and financial data
- Manages retail establishment finances, including budgeting and financial reporting
- Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers, and negotiates contracts and pricing
- Implements marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain customers
- Resolves customer complaints and ensures high levels of customer satisfaction
- arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget
- ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean functional and of suitable appearance
- conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service
- Service recovery
- Creating service standard templates and standard operating procedures
- Controlling, selecting, training and supervising staff
- Taking reservations
- Meet, great and seat guests
- assist in taking orders
- Assist with staff hiring and training
- Assist with planning menus and special dietary requirements for guests
- Discuss customer requirements with the culinary team.
- Determining product mix, stock levels and service standards
- Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies, and setting prices
- Promoting and advertising the establishment's goods and services
- Selling goods and services to customers and advising them on product use
- Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
- Undertaking budgeting for the establishment
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
