Technical Sales Representative

Agwest Machinery are Western Australia's leading agricultural machinery dealership group. Serving the West Australian wheatbelt from Geraldton to Esperance, our name is behind the leading Global agricultural brands available in Western Australia, including Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Kubota, Krone and Gleaner. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Technical Sales Representative to join their team in Geraldton and Northam, WA.

Your role will include:

- To promote and sell all Dealership machinery products and brands, in particular the whole goods range for the following brands (Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Krone, Kubota, Trimble, Hansa, Convey-All, Meridian, MacDon)
- To apply technical knowledge and practical experience, ensuring you provide valid and accurate information to customers, to ensure in-depth understanding of equipment purchased. Installing equipment purchased, set-up machinery, ensure operators are trained for safe productive operation, trouble shoot any problems, ongoing.
- Work with suppliers to assist in the supply of products in a timely and efficient manner, meeting reasonable customer expectations.
- Work as part of a team to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the organisation.
- Ensure Agwest Machinery, its main brands, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Krone, Gleaner, Kubota and products are promoted to customers with the highest regard.
- Be the main point of contact for your customers and their machinery needs.

To be the successful candidate you must have the following:

- Self-motivated and driven individual.
- Previous work experience in the agricultural industry. (Operating and repairing equipment) from main agricultural brands Massey Ferguson, Case IH, John Deere, Claas, Fendt, Krone, AGCO, New Holland
- Experience using pricing analysis tools and systems.
- Ability to maintain enthusiasm over long sales cycles.
- Willing to cold call and generate leads.
- Strong follow up skills with a focus on servicing customer needs.
- Very well organised, structured & delivery focused.
- Confident & excellent communication skills.
- Able to work as part of a team and autonomously.
- Competent knowledge / experience with agricultural equipment, forklifts, tools, and other workshop equipment is essential, with sound understanding in equipment troubleshooting.
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Technical Sales Representative/Customer Service.
- Driver's License is required

Salary range is $75,000 – $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
