Product Engineer

Genis Steel Leading industrial and residential steel manufacturer located in Melbourne is currently seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Product Engineer to join the manufacturing department in Somerton VIC.


The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Designs for manufacturing, sheet metal parts, components Using CAD (solid works)
software and engineering principles.
- Producing engineering drawing, manufacturing schematics and 2D/3D models of
mechanical equipment designs, incorporating measurement, specification and client
requirement.
- Producing Bill of material, cut list, cost estimation while coordinating closely with the
project manager.
- Analysed technical drawing and provide support to the executive team in interpretation of
the engineering drawings.
- Inspected the manufactured products to adherence of quality standards and specifications.
- Submit design recommendations to ensure attainment and estimating purposes
- Reporting and record keeping on all projects timely and accurately


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in relevant field


Salary range is $70,000-$80,000pa commensurate with experience
