About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in menu execution, kitchen operations, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and cook a wide variety of dishes, particularly Italian-inspired cuisine, to a consistently high standard.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service during peak hours.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels, order supplies, and minimise food wastage.
  • Develop and adapt menus, including daily specials, based on seasonal produce and customer demand.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring team efficiency and adherence to recipes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene practices, and workplace health & safety standards.
  • Check the quality and freshness of ingredients prior to preparation and service.
  • Coordinate with management to plan functions, events, or catering requirements.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and equipment safety.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar Chef role (experience in Italian cuisine highly regarded).
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, flavours, and menu planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality, authentic dining experiences.
