Barker Trailers are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Woodend North VIC.

PURPOSE:

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all elements of the allocated product and design package are completed efficiently and with the highest quality.

Mechanical Engineers within our company will be required to complete the following tasks, including but not limited to.

TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Compilation of job sheets and associated documentation.
  • Design and preparation of construction layouts, detailed workshop assembly drawings and technical documentation.
  • Preliminary mechanical engineering computations/calculations.
  • Design analysis using company FEA package.
  • Where necessary undertake additional duties and or assist other areas of the business to ensure that the requirements of the production schedule are achieved.

  • Utilize tools and equipment for their intended use only.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Advance Microsoft Excel skills
  • AutoCAD, Inventor and ANSYS skills

 

Salary range is $85,000 - $95,000pa commensurate with experience

Fulltime Position available
