Why not see where we can go?Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Technical Advice Manager to join TAL's Group Life and Retirement business unit as we partner with a key industry fund partner to design, implement, manage, and grow a market leading retirement solution striving to give more financial confidence to fund members.Reporting to the Head of Retirement and Product, you will ensure intra-fund, aligned and external advisers understand the proposition and have the tools, templates, and guides to recommend the proposition to retirees.This is a permanent role, working from our Sydney or Melbourne office.In this role you will:
  • Work with our industry fund partner to support their advice networks in recommending their new market leading retirement income solution.
  • Support the development of tools, guides, and SOA templates to support the advice process.
  • Provide technical training to sales, advisers and their teams on the new product and retirement strategies the product enables for members.
  • Develop training content to support the awareness of retirement income options and how to construct these as a part of member retirement strategies.
  • Contribute to continued development of the proposition features and supporting experiences.
  • Build meaningful and trusted relationships with our fund partner and key internal stakeholders.
  • Manage specific retirement related technical advice queries from key stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in retirement advice or an aligned advice function
  • Tertiary qualification in law, accountancy, financial planning, or a related discipline
  • RG146 compliant
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and regulations governing the operation of the financial services industry, including the delivery of advice
  • Excellent understanding of detailed technical concepts and strategies relating to retirement solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
