You’ll be managing across multiple programs, leading a team of Project Commissioning Officers to roll out system integration, modernisation, and renewal projects across the data centre portfolio.You’ll also lead technical project teams, roll out new systems and applications, replace legacy BMS/CSMS setups with modern solutions, and integrate emerging technologies into existing environments.We welcome applicants from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth for this roleIn this role you will:

Lead and develop a team of Project Commissioning Officers through mentoring, performance management, resource allocation, development planning, and participate in hiring decisions.
Develop and execute program roadmaps, lead complex BMS/CSMS replacements and new application deployments, manage project portfolios across facilities, and oversee budgets, vendors, and stakeholder engagement.
Oversee deployment of new systems, replacement of legacy BMS/CSMS, and complex multi-system integration. Conduct technology evaluations, develop enterprise standards, and ensure regulatory and security compliance.
Drive process improvements, mentor team members, maintain documentation, and promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and optimisation initiatives.
Stay abreast of facility engineering advancements and implement relevant improvements. Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Head of Field Engineering.

About You

Has expertise in DCIM, BMS, CSMS, EPMS, HVAC, security, networking, automation, and cloud/hybrid infrastructure. Proficient in MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, data analytics tools, and financial processes.
Possesses strong people management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. A strategic thinker with problem-solving ability and attention to operational detail.
Has proven experience delivering complex system projects over $2 million, with strengths in risk management, change control, and executive reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Project Management, or related field.
8+ years in data centre, IT systems, or infrastructure management
5+ years in technical team leadership
5+ years managing complex system projects, including BMS/CSMS replacements

Preferred:

PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification
Advanced degree or MBA
Agile/Scrum experience
Knowledge of ITIL, cybersecurity, and compliance
Experience in change management and governance documentation (highly desirable)
