As we expand our services, we are seeking dynamic and compassionate Team Leader to join our dedicated team.The Role: More Than Just a JobAs a Team Leader for Disability Accommodation Services in one of our SIL houses around Kincumber, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting a team of passionate professionals to deliver high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accommodation services, ensuring a person-centered approach that respects the dignity and autonomy of each individual.What We Require From You
  • Sound Leadership Qualities: an individual who can effectively lead a team, professionally develop and motivate staff through ongoing mentoring, support and supervision.
  • Service Coordination: Coordinate and implement individualised care plans, ensuring the unique needs and preferences of each client are met. Rostering staff on in a timely and effective manner to meet with client demands.
  • Proven Track-record: Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and supporting individuals with psycho-social conditions, mental health challenges, or related issues.
  • Problem Solving Ability: Ready to address and resolve any issues or concerns related to service delivery and staffing promptly and professionally.
  • Strong Communicator: an individual who is empathetic, autonomous, adaptable, collaborative, shows respect, demonstrates active listening, clear and open communication, and can maintain confidentiality, is culturally competent, and has advocacy ability. Facilitate clear and effective communication between team members, residents and their families.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and ensure efficient use of resources (staff included) while maintaining service quality.
  • Resilient & Self-confident: Ready to tackle any challenges that come your way, providing quality care and support to individuals who need it the most.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Word & Outlook.
  • Shared Values: collaborative, supportive attitude, reliable, problem-solver, accountable, conflict resolving ability, committed, a team player, autonomous, self-aware, people-orientated, compassionate, respectful and acts with integrity.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate service delivery to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Flexible: possess a professional development and continuous learning attitude and being open to shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and working public holidays.
  • Licence and Checks: Current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to undergo background checks, including but not limited to First Aid Certificate, Police Checks, NDIS Screening Check, Working with Children Check.
