Ryde Hospital - Environmental ServicesWhat you'll be doing
This position provides a waste management service to the facility. Responsibilities include collecting waste of all streams from the disposal rooms and storage areas, and transporting it to the collection and processing points. Waste streams include general waste, recyclables, clinical and related wastes and soiled linen. This position is also responsible for maintaining the waste area, vehicles and equipment, including bins, in a clean and tidy state.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Previous relevant experience in waste handling, or related areas such as Environmental Services.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety principles including safe manual handling and infection control.
