Senior Data Engineer

• Build scalable data pipelines using Databricks & Azure
• Collaborate to deliver aged care data solutions
• Ensure data quality, governance & performance

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration across clinical, financial, and care platforms.
• Develop and support ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks and Azure Data Services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose data solutions that enhance aged care operations and reporting.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with privacy legislation.
• Support data modelling for analytics, reporting, and machine learning applications.
• Optimise data storage and compute performance across platforms.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in software development and integration practices.

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in software development and data integration.
• Proficiency in Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, and modern data stack technologies.
• Strong skills in C#, Python, SQL, PowerShell, and Power BI.
• Deep understanding of data architecture, governance, and Australian Privacy Principles.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across teams.

• Certifications in Agile, Azure, or Databricks.
• Experience with financial platforms like D365 and Epicor.
• Background in aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit sectors.
• Exposure to clinical data integration and mobile app development.
