Part time - Fixed TermAre you a creative, possibly artistic, and enthusiastic team player?The City of Cockburn are seeking a passionate individual to join our Cockburn Care team.About the PositionWe are looking for the right person to work in our Social Club that supports seniors and people living with Dementia. Cockburn Care is based in Hamilton Hill. In this rewarding role you will work in a team to develop and facilitate activities for the Social Club based on person-centred and reablement principles.Day to day the role is multi-faceted and includes:
  • Transporting clients to and from the Centre and to outings in the community.
  • Planning and implementing programs and activities of interest to our clients.
  • Ensuring that each client is pursuing individual goals and maintaining dignity and independence.
  • Providing individual support which may include personal care.
  • Maintaining the Food Plan with Safe Food Handling.
About youAs the Activity Officer, you will need to possess:
  • Cert III (min) in Aged Care / Disability or Community Services (or relevant experience).
  • Provide First Aid certificate (or ability to obtain within 1 month of commencement).
  • Light Rigid Drivers Licence or willingness and capacity to obtain.
  • Ability to obtain an PTD endorsement to drive with the clients.
