Location: Burleigh Heads QLD 4220About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Small Engine Mechanic/ Workshop All-Rounder to join our national building and maintenance services company. This versatile role will focus on service, repair and maintenance of a wide range of equipment while managing warehouse operations and fleet coordination.Your primary responsibility will involve servicing and repairing small engines and equipment (lawn mowers, whipper snippers, chainsaws etc.) and managing warehouse stock and materials---spanning equipment maintenance, inventory management, and fleet servicing requirements. You will collaborate closely with our purchasing team and field service crews, including technicians and site teams, to ensure optimal equipment performance and stock availability.This role offers a unique opportunity to develop diverse mechanical skills and enjoy excellent work-life balance while contributing to a family-owned business with flexible working arrangements. Strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and ability to work independently are essential.Key Responsibilities:Service, repair and maintain wide range of equipment including lawn mowers, whipper snippers, chainsaws and similar small engine equipmentCoordinate manual handling activities including drop off and collection of stock and materials in warehouse and to client sitesMaintain equipment inventory and stock levels within the warehouse facilityManage fleet of vehicles including stock replenishment, equipment maintenance and servicing coordinationCollaborate with purchasing team to maintain optimal inventory levels and coordinate procurement activitiesWork independently and as part of team to ensure timely completion of maintenance and service tasksSupport field operations with equipment preparation and site assistance including gardening and general maintenance when requiredMaintain accurate records of equipment servicing, repairs, and warehouse stock movementsContribute to company culture through participation in social events and monthly competitionsWhy Join This Organisation?Established family-owned business with national presence and strong reputation in building and maintenance servicesExcellent work-life balance with flexible hours (school hours Monday-Friday or 3 full days per week options available)Supportive team environment with regular social events, monthly competitions and prizesJob variety across workshop maintenance, warehouse operations, and occasional field support activitiesQualifications:Working experience or trade qualification as Fitter and Turner (or similar trade background)Demonstrated experience in small engine repair and maintenance (lawn equipment, chainsaws, outdoor power equipment)Previous experience working in maintenance/service role with ability to work unsupervisedCurrent manual driver's license (company vehicles are manual transmission)Strong work ethic with punctuality, reliability and honestyExperience with manual handling and warehouse operationsConstruction industry experience highly regardedWillingness to undergo Police Check and obtain Working with Children Blue CardMust be eligible for Australian work authorization at time of commencementAbout the Company:Our client is a national family-owned building and maintenance services company delivering comprehensive solutions for residential and commercial environments.
