
Biobank Clinical Research Assistant - Haematology and Oncology

- Support the conduct and quality improvement of the MCCB in line with ICH-GCP and best practice standards.
- Complete data entry and validation processes for biobank records.
- Liaise with clinical teams to ensure appropriate information is collected and relevant samples are allocated.
- Assist with the preservation, storage and distribution of MCCB samples to third-party researchers.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities including audits, review and updating of SOPs.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Biobank Scientific Lead and Clinical Research Team.
- Maintain current knowledge of clinical research practices, biobanking processes, and regulatory requirements.
- A degree in Medical Science or other relevant discipline.
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification, with knowledge of ICH-GCP, NHMRC guidelines and ethics/governance submissions in Victoria.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical research, preferably in a laboratory or biobank setting.
- Understanding of laboratory regulations and hands-on experience in laboratory environments.
- Strong organisational and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Internal: Biobank Scientific Lead, Lead Clinical Trial Coordinator & Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Research Associates/Clinical Research Nurses, Principal Investigators, and staff across pharmacy, pathology and ward services.
