Join us, a prominent enterprise, as the Lead Engineer for our groundbreaking Azure Cloud Platform. Spearheading our Cloud Platform function, you will initially engage in core engineering tasks to operate our new platform and empower development teams in Azure, emphasizing PaaS-first principles. As we expand, you will guide our growing Cloud Platform team, balancing cloud leadership with hands-on engineering responsibilities. With grown plans this Cloud Lead will be able to recruit and lead the future Cloud Engineers.Your Role:
- Leverage your Azure expertise to deliver a secure, scalable, high-performance cloud platform for delivery and product teams.
- Collaborate across functions, partnering with developers, architects, and DevOps specialists to craft innovative solutions aligned with industry standards.
- Lead Azure cloud platform operations, architecture, and management, driving adherence to best practices and performance optimization.
- Design optimal Azure solutions to support business and technology objectives, ensuring seamless integration within the platform.
- Stay current with Azure technologies and trends, guiding technology choices for diverse projects.
- Champion continuous improvement, enhancing processes, methodologies, and technologies.
- Partner with vendors to optimize outcomes for our cloud platform.
- Deployment & configuration of Azure platform components using Terraform.
- Azure cloud platform architecture, solution design development and documentation.
- Azure security (IAM, Firewalls, RBAC, Azure AD, Sentinel, Key Vault, etc.).
- Source control management and CI/CD workflows (Azure DevOps).
- Azure platform engineering for serverless components.
- Azure network and general networking concepts. Network / Fortinet firewalls expertise.
- Azure compute and storage, Azure non-functional management (Azure Backup, Monitor, etc.).
- Azure cloud platform leadership.
