Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Inspired by the work of St Marcellin Champagnat, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent academic and career pathway results for our inclusive community of students.The College has a vacancy for a Director of Development commencing at a suitably negotiated date. This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week.The Director of Development is responsible for the fundraising and philanthropic endeavours of the College. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of engagement programs and communications to deepen connections within the Marist Community and actively grow the donor pipeline.Essential Selection Criteria: * Applicants must have a Blue Card (Working with Children) or be eligible to apply for a Blue Card.
  • A thorough knowledge of contemporary philanthropic/fundraising methods including an ability to utilise modern technologies to market effectively.
  • Highly developed computer and word processing skills together with an ability to manage databases
  • A high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College.

  • Contribute to and implement strategies for a major capital campaign.
  • Develop and implement an effective donor management system and donor acknowledgement.
  • Procedures to facilitate and enhance donor engagement and ongoing support for the College.
  • Identifying, researching and cultivating prospects for increased regular, appeal and major gift giving.
  • Co-ordinating the planning and implementation of key cultivation and donor relations events.
  • Work collaboratively with the College Leadership Team, the College Advisory Board, and the Foundation to further develop fundraising initiatives.
