- providing strategic advice & support on environmental aspects & be responsible for day-to-day environmental operations.
- developing & reviewing the application of procedures, processes, methodologies & technologies.
- the navigation of legislative and policy frameworks to achieve cost effective solutions to all environmental approval and compliance requirements.
- contributing to sustainable mining by advising on & facilitating approvals for operations, including but not limited to considerations of tenure, stakeholder consultation & legal permissions under the relevant Environment, Mining & Heritage Acts.
- the provision of coordination, support, direction & expertise in proactive environmental management ensuring effective controls are in place & managed, compliant with legislative, heritage & corporate obligations.
- managing the development, implementation & audit of Environmental Management Standards& designing appropriate strategies to ensure compliance throughout the business.
- coordinating & undertake site monitoring programs, data collection & analysis, &
- Advise on & facilitate approvals for operations, including considerations of tenure, stakeholder consultation & legal permissions under the relevant Acts.
- Assist in the continuous improvement & maintenance of the site's Certified Management System.
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science.
- Experience with underground and surface hard rock mining.
- Fantastic team leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of Western Australia legislation (DMIRS, DWER & DPLH)
- Previous experience in managing land access, approvals, rehabilitation & closure projects & associated stakeholder engagement.
- Able to make environmental approvals and compliance easy for our teams.
- Experience using Microsoft Office & ArcGIS applications.
- Solid experience in an environmental function within the mining sector.
- Demonstrated leadership & performance development experience in a multi-disciplinary environment.
