About the positionThe Department of Languages & Cultures at La Trobe University offers a broad range of Asian and European languages alongside a rich diversity of disciplines that encourage meaningful engagement with society and culture. This department is situated within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.The Department of Languages & Cultures is inviting applications for a part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed-term Lecturer position, specifically requiring the ability to lecture in Hindi. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum designed for non-native speakers and will also provide support to the broader South Asian Studies program.Skills and ExperienceTo be considered for this position, you will have

PhD degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.

Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, as evidenced by sustained high results on student feedback on teaching surveys, teaching excellence awards or through other forms of evidence.
Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively, collaboratively and productively with staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Ability to supervise, or co-supervise, honours and postgraduate students.
