- Oversee daily operations by managing team resources, scheduling, and compliance with safety and fatigue regulations.
- Provide strong leadership to your team, ensuring performance is aligned with business KPIs, safety standards, and company values.
- Liaise with the Transport Workers' Union and other stakeholders to manage performance, address grievances, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Monitor and analyse performance data, manage leave and absenteeism, and ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Lead investigations into incidents and drive continuous improvements through regular audits and safety initiatives.
- Support the depot Manager and deputise as required, ensuring smooth operations even in challenging situations.
- Proven leadership experience in managing large teams or operations in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Expertise in operational systems and logistics, with strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, BI Software, internal systems).
- Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable to a continually changing work environment.
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) a medium rigid driver's licence and relevant authority.
