Working an attractive 8:6 day shift roster (Monday to Monday), you'll help ensure the timely and accurate analysis of samples, while contributing to the smooth and efficient management of the laboratory alongside the Lab Manager. If you're ready for a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced mining environment, we want to hear from you.Other responsibilities include, however not limited to:

Ensuring timely and quality analysis of samples.
Liaise with clients on a day to day basis.
Analysis as requested by clients.
Organize work priorities to meet client's needs.
Assist in maintaining all site manuals.
Staff training.
Perform the Laboratory Manager's duties in their absence.
Supervise laboratory personnel.
Ability to produce high quality accurate results.
Issue completed and confirmed reports.
Maintain and improve own knowledge to be able to contribute towards progression of laboratory.
Work in and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

Experience in laboratory work and chemical knowledge
Experience in sample preparation
Experience, or become familiar with sodium peroxide and lithium metaborate fusions
Experience with ICP-OES (ICP-AES),ICP-MS, TGA and XRF
Wet chemistry, creating and validation of standards
People skills
