- Assist in preparing market submissions, policy wordings, proposals, and reports for insurance and reinsurance placements across multiple lines.
- Coordinate with placement specialists, structuring, and advisory teams to deliver accurate and timely program solutions.
- Track project timelines and deliverables, ensuring internal and external stakeholders remain aligned throughout the process.
- Conduct research and analysis to support program design, market strategies, and strategic recommendations for government clients.
- Manage placement processes, including direct oversight of smaller placements and coordination with internal and international specialists to meet client requirements.
- Lead complex projects such as multi-year deals, catastrophe coverage, and alternative risk transfer, engaging experts and managing end-to-end project execution.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with insurers, reinsurers, and market specialists, negotiating terms, limits, and pricing to balance capacity and client needs.
- Apply strategic and systems thinking to long-term risk transfer and portfolio management, including retention levels, multi-line aggregations, and alternative solutions.
- Proven experience in insurance and reinsurance placement, program management, or client advisory roles, ideally within the public sector or government-related programs is desirable but not required.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage complex, multi-year projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate government objectives into market-ready insurance solutions.
- Organisational skills
- Knowledge of risk transfer, market strategies, and insurance structures, with familiarity working with government clients desirable but not required.
- Experience working directly with government clients or in public sector programs.
- Deep technical knowledge of insurance and reinsurance markets, including structuring, alternative risk transfer, and complex project management, desirable but not required..
- Ability to form strong relationships with insurers, reinsurers, and advisory specialists, with a proven ability to negotiate and structure solutions.
- Strategic thinker with a long-term view of portfolio management, risk aggregation, and system-wide risk transfer solutions.
- Commonwealth security clearance is desirable
