About the RoleAs a Senior Project Engineer , you will play a key role in delivering civil construction projects with a focus on earthworks, roadworks, streetscape, and commercial landscape works. You'll work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects that contribute to the development of essential community assets.This role offers a mix of on-site and office-based responsibilities and is perfect for someone looking to enhance their project management and leadership skills in a dynamic, growing team.What Your Day Will Look LikeLead and champion a positive safety culture, ensuring the team is empowered to address and resolve safety concerns.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of projects.Oversee site operations, ensuring that work is aligned with project schedules and specifications.Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide the delivery of streetscape and landscape works.Assist the Project Manager with planning, budgeting, reporting, and claims preparation.Ensure compliance with quality assurance, safety, and environmental standards.Liaise with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to resolve issues and keep the project on track.Maintain project records, including ITPs, SWMS, permits, and other critical documentation.Provide mentorship to Site Engineers and junior team members.Contribute to meetings, contractor briefings, and client discussions to ensure smooth project progress.Skillset NeededDegree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (required); Project or Construction Management qualifications are highly regarded.3-5 years of experience in civil construction, specifically in earthworks, roadworks, streetscape, and commercial landscape projects.Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, manage costs, and maintain accurate project documentation.Strong understanding of safety, quality, and environmental compliance systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and construction/project management platforms.Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.South Australian Construction White Card and C Class Driver's Licence (required).First Aid Certificate and HSEQ awareness (preferred).About us Join a leading South Australian construction company, where you'll play a key role in shaping the infrastructure of our communities.
