We are seeking a skilled and safety focused Diesel Fitter to join our dynamic workshop team at our Railton Mine. This is a great opportunity to utilise your skills and experience within a local employer and nationally respected brand.Within this role you will be required to ensure all work is completed without incident or injury to either people or plant. You will be responsible for maintaining mobile equipment on site, attending to any breakdowns and working alongside members of our Maintenance and Production teams.Your Opportunity

Inspect, service, and repair heavy mobile equipment

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns

Maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP

Ensure high housekeeping standards and compliance with SHE protocols

Raise notifications for any required corrective actions

Work in the mining industry but be home every night, no more FIFO

The Roster:This position operates on a rotating shift roster Monday to FridayDayshift:

Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Afternoon:

Monday to Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Thursday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

What You’ll Bring

Certificate III in Automotive Technology or equivalent

Minimum 2 years’ trade experience, preferably in mining or heavy industry

Strong focus on safety and familiarity with isolation procedures

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Experience with hydraulics, mechanical and electrical diagnostics
