The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. The Cleaner is responsible for the provision of a quality and efficient cleaning service to various areas in Mobilong Prison and Southern Business Centre. Duties will include cleaning office and dining furniture, removal of rubbish, vacuuming floors, sweeping, washing and polishing vinyl floors, cleaning toilets, kitchens, wet areas and designated outdoor area.Special Conditions
Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential;
A flexible approach to working hours is required;
Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.Remuneration

This is a casual pool position up to 12 months, with no guaranteed hours of employment and a 25 percent casual loading applies in lieu of annual and sick leave.
