
Mobile Voice Platform Technical Specialist

- Lead technical strategy and planning through developing and maintaining roadmaps, architecture, standards, and evolution plans for mobile voice core platforms.
- Manage budgets and programs to prepare and deliver AOP activities, capital submissions, cost reviews, and procurement (RFP/RFI, tenders, purchase orders).
- Oversee platform lifecycle and capacity in order to ensure platforms meet design standards, capacity forecasts, performance thresholds, and customer experience KPIs.
- Drive delivery and implementation through managing high-level design, deployment, equipment installations, and workflow improvements to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Engage business partners and vendors and act as the prime technical interface for upgrades, new technology introduction, product assessments, governance meetings, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure compliance and governance by maintaining WHS standards, inventory matrix, vendor governance, and end-of-life/obsolescence management across platforms.
- Relevant professional qualifications in Telecommunications Engineering or related field, together with equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven hands-on experience in mobile telecommunications across 4G and 5G, with extensive platform knowledge (IMS Core, Voicemail, Core Signalling, Application Servers, etc.).
- Proven experience in mobile core platform design, roadmap development, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and deployment of VNFs/CNFs in virtual/cloud environments.
- Strong background in supplier engagement, tenders, proposals, pricing negotiations, and statement of work preparation.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills up to executive level, with the ability to lead teams, think strategically, and drive business outcomes.
- Solid understanding of ROI, NPV, P&L, risk management, and conceptual/analytical thinking to balance technical and commercial priorities.
- 3 days in the office, 2 days remote – with flexible hours to suit!
