The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.Relevant Qualification and Experience
To be eligible for employment applicants must hold a Certificate III in Painting or Decorating or equivalent, a Trade Certificate and have a minimum of 5 years working in the area of expertise.There is a minimum qualification required to deliver accredited vocational education and training (VET) as defined by the (Standards), or its successors. The current minimum qualification required is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 or TAESS00024).Applicants who do not yet hold the minimum required VET credentials are still eligible to apply, however South Regional TAFE will require the successful candidate to be enrolled, and have commenced training in, an approved training and assessment credential and record satisfactory progress to enable the credential to be completed within two years from commencement.For Further Job Related Information
