Reporting directly to the QLD General Manager, this role will manage all commercial aspects of our growing QLD region including pre-contracts, project delivery and governance.In this role you'll be responsible for:Providing commercial leadership and timely commercial advice and support to the Pre-Contracts team for all tenders pursued across the Regional businessManaging, leading and developing the Commercial and Procurement functions within a large integrated regional delivery team, including working collaborative with key customersProviding ongoing commercial support to project teams throughout contract / program delivery cyclesManaging the preparation and/or defence of contractual claims and variations.Proactively respond to changes in client and stakeholder needs and expectations and develop collaborative relationships formed on trust.Design innovative commercial models that optimise outcomes while providing value add/continuous improvement to our client.Ensure compliance with internal procedures, process and statutory requirements.How you'll connect to the role:A relevant Degree in law, commerce, quantity surveying, construction management, engineering or a related disciplineComprehensive knowledge of commercial models and activities in construction programs, as well as design and construct contractsSound knowledge and practical experience in the application of commercial and contract lawAbility to apply various techniques to seek constructive outcomes to contract negotiations, including ability to influence others and defend commercial positionsExperience with the JD Edwards financial application will be highly regardedAble to evaluate tender documents and estimatesAlignment with our values of Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude & LeadershipAdopting and driving Fulton Hogan’s Living Safely Culture.Our people share the same set of values that keep us REAL.
