- Ensuring processes are followed and refined to deliver consistent, quality work within project parameters (time and cost)
- Completing required data entry/documentation relevant to activities
- Ensuring plant, tools and equipment necessary for operational activities are available
- Managing team performance, and supporting the training and mentoring of staff
- Ensuring all requirements relating to work health and safety, environment and quality are met
- As required, contributing to rostering, work allocations, job planning and quoting etc…
- Working with the Open Spaces Manager and clients to discuss and resolve technical issues affecting projects on site
- Solid experience (5 years plus is indicative) in conservation and land management activities
- A relevant qualification (Cert IV in Conservation and Land Management preferred)
- Some level of supervisory experience and the willingness and capability to accept responsibility and lead/coach others
- Drivers licence (preferably manual and ideally truck licence)
- (Ideally) Accreditations in CHEMCERT, White Card, RIW, Chainsaw, First Aid
- Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- At least moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management applications (GIS mapping experience is desirable)
- Good organisation, time-management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ideally, experience working with Quality, Environmental and Workplace Health and Safety (QES) management systems
- Working With Children Check required
