You can read more about SMHS in our Strategic Plan .The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is responsible for providing a clinical consultancy service within an assigned area of specialty, Alcohol and Other Drug ; developing standards of practice; implementing changes to clinical practice; educating staff and initiating research and quality improvement activities. The CNC is responsible for the provision of a Consultation Liaison Service within their area of expertise across hospital services and external sites. The CNC also works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and promote desired outcomes in colorectal patient population including care of patients with the formation of ostomies.
