Our client is a leading provider of transport maintenance services across Australia. Due to new contracts, we are seeking multiple skilled Workshop Mechanical Fitters based in Newcastle. The successful candidates will be based on a Day Shift Monday - Friday roster for a project up to 6 months in duration.What’s Involved:Perform maintenance, repairs and overhauls of mechanical underframes from the rail industry * Use of precision measuring equipment (verniers and micrometers) and large torque wrenchesCollaborating as part of a dynamic team * Diagnostics, inspections and interpreting technical drawingsWhat We’re Looking For:Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter with a recognized Trade CertificateA solid understanding of production, manufacturing or process environmentsRail maintenance experience is highly regarded, but not essentialForklift and First Aid desirableStrong teamwork and communication skillsWhat We Offer You:
$61 / hour - Day shift rate (casual)
Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2:30 PM * Some overtime available
Up to 6 months work
