Reporting into the MD and working as part of a cohesive executive leadership team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic recommendations to the MD and members of the executive team
- Playing an active role in commercial contract pricing and negotiation
- Leading the finance function & overseeing the production of all month end reporting and statutory accounting
- Budgeting, forecasting & analysis
- Coordinating the annual audit process
- Maintain and ensure integrity of the ERP systems
- Developing a suite of operational reports to drive business performance
To be considered you must be a qualified CA/CPA accountant and be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in a CFO or equivalent role within a medium to large sized business
- Experience in project focused industries such as construction, engineering or civil works
- High levels of commercial acumen and proven ability to drive business performance
- Proven leader who can juggle multiple projects at any one time in an entrepreneurial environment
- Extensive skills in financial and accounting management including business planning and strategy, managing profitability, project management, formulating and monitoring budgets and financial reporting
- Ability to work at both a hands-on and strategic level
