Our client is a major enterprise committed to optimising mission-critical database environments. This role is key to ensuring the health, performance, and reliability of high-volume Db2 systems.About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to deliver a comprehensive healthcheck on a high-transactional Db2 v11.5 environment (HACMP on AIX). You'll diagnose performance issues, recommend improvements, and collaborate with application specialists to drive operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a full healthcheck on a production Db2 instance with multiple databases.
- Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks and table reorganisation needs.
- Collaborate with WebSphere and Java application experts to diagnose and address system issues.
- Deliver actionable recommendations to enhance database performance and reliability.
- Minimum 10 years' hands-on experience with IBM Db2.
- Proven track record in producing and executing Db2 healthchecks in enterprise environments.
- Experience with HACMP on AIX.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-transactional settings.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This is a short-term contract (estimated 5-10 days) based on-site in Melbourne CBD. You'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding and optimising critical database infrastructure.How to Apply
