About the OpportunityWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Access Assistant Program team as an Enrolled Nurse, where you will be responsible for:
  • Providing direct nursing care and support to pre-school and school-aged children with complex health and disability needs in community education settings, including 1:1 support in preschools, mainstream, and special education schools.
  • Supporting the Registered Nurse in delivering person-centred care in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Practising at a level ranging from novice to proficient, while working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and remaining accountable for own nursing care.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Proven experience in working in paediatrics or with clients who have complex health issues
