- Technical and maintenance support - Perform supervised technical tasks like maintenance on IT, RF, and electronic systems, including working at heights on antennas.
- Installation assistance - Help with cable, fibre, and electronics installations as needed.
- Operational reliability - Deliver high-quality work during time-critical maintenance periods to ensure station readiness.
- Launcher involvement - Contribute to rocket launcher activities, occasionally outside normal hours.
- Logistics coordination - Support shipment operations between New Norcia and European counterparts.
- Documentation development - Assist in creating technical manuals, safe work procedures, and quality system documents.
- New Norcia Ground Station, Western Australia
- Shared pool of vehicles available to commute between Perth and New Norcia
- Relocation support to be provided for new starters moving within Western Australia
- 5 roles available with a 5 year specified term tenure for each position
- Flexible working options available with roles being offered on a full-time, part-time or job share basis. This can be discussed based on individual circumstances and needs of the role.
- Relevant Qualifications: Certificate of year 12 high school education.
- Additional Qualifications: Applicants with completed or significant progress towards trade qualifications, diploma or bachelor's degree qualifications in relevant technical fields such as engineering, IT or science may be eligible for appointment at higher grades.
- Experience: Applicants with significant STEM experience may be appointed to higher grades.
- Skillset: Aptitude in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths fields.
- Installation Activities: Experience in installation activities and maintenance of cabling and optical fibre, or electronics equipment.
- Working on Structures: Ability and desire to work at heights.
- A general commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing at the workplace.
