PRIMARY DETAILSeeking a suitably qualified academic to be actively involved in the development, implementation, and delivery of units in the suite of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Psychology Courses as well as engaging in research.THE ROLESalary Package: Lecturer (Level B) from $115,787 to $136,995 or Senior Lecturer (Level C) from $141,376 to $162,584 p.a., plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading.Appointment Type: Full time, continuing positionLocation: Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde)The School of Psychological Sciences is seeking a suitably qualified academic to be actively involved in the development, implementation, and delivery of units in the suite of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Psychology Courses within the School, as well as engaging in research.ABOUT YOUYou will have a tertiary qualification in psychology, and the capacity to design, deliver units and courses in Psychology at the undergraduate and the postgraduate levels. You will have a track record in convening accredited psychology courses in Australia. You will also have a strong track record in research relative to experience. Additionally, you will possess a willingness to embrace educational technology, blended learning and educational innovation. You are also registered or eligible for registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.ABOUT US

We offer accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Psychology with the largest suite of postgraduate programs in New South Wales. To be considered for this position, please apply online by submitting your CV and a separate (3-page maximum) cover letter that details how you meet each of the following selection criteria:Essential criteria for Level B (Lecturer) & Level C (Senior Lecturer):A PhD or equivalent tertiary qualifications in Psychology.Demonstrated expertise in developing and convening units in accredited psychology courses – particularly those with an applied focus including such topics on developmental and social psychology, psychopathology, personality and individual differences, with excellent student evaluations.A commitment and capability to deliver high-quality learning and teaching, including the design, delivery, and management of online and face-to-face content, lectures, tutorials, and assessments, with evidence of excellent student outcomes and reflective practice.Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to relate to build an inclusive teaching and learning environment, and work effectively in a team environment.Evidence of successful delivery to diverse student cohorts and of creating a positive student experience characterised by strong engagement at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Demonstrated strong track record in research, relative to opportunity, including research grants and peer reviewed publications.Research track record that is compatible with the research strengths of staff within the School of Psychological Sciences at Macquarie University.Additional Essential for Level C (Senior Lecturer):Experience and capacity to successfully supervise Honours, Masters and / or PhD research students.Ability to proactively engage or partner with industry and professional bodies on relevant research and / or teaching projects and to represent the School to external stakeholders and the general publicDemonstrated experience to make a contribution to the academic life and administrative tasks of the School and Faculty along with a track record of effective teamwork.Outstanding learning and teaching experience with demonstrated experience of involvement in course/curriculum development.Strongly Desirable at both levelsDemonstrated ability to contribute to teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate accredited courses in psychology.Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible to apply for registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.Available to commence position by late June 2024.Please note: Applications are being accepted from Australian citizens or permanent residents or people currently residing in Australia with full working rights only.
