
Clinical Midwife - Maternity Ward

- Provide support to staff on best practices for managing pregnancy care and improving outcomes for women in both antenatal and postnatal stages
- Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Provide clinical guidance, leadership and education to members of the clinical team to ensure consistent and collaborative implementation of improvement activities
- Liaise with obstetric teams to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care and manage complex cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Actively contributing towards the Quality, Safety and Work, Health and Safety processes in the clinical area
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
- Demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
- Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA
- Post-graduate midwifery experience
- Advanced clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of midwifery practice
- Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care within the multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to the continuous improvement of health care and midwifery practice, and to continuing professional development of self and others.
- An ability to work autonomously and function as a member of a diverse health service delivery team
