A leading national retailer is seeking an experienced accountant to support employee-related financial provisions and insurance obligations within a large-scale shared services environment.
You’ll manage key month-end processes across workers compensation, public liability and general insurance. This is a hands-on role involving complex reconciliations, controls testing and business partnering across internal teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and review P&L and balance sheet accounts relating to employee provisions
- Reconcile complex accounts with clear documentation and resolution planning
- Maintain strong financial controls in line with GAAP and internal policies
- Support control testing and reporting within corporate governance programs
- Drive process improvements and test system changes (UAT)
- CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
- 5+ years’ experience in financial accounting, preferably in shared services or retail
- Strong skills in reconciliations, controls and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel and SAP/BPC/GCP experience
- Analytical mindset with ability to partner across teams
