If so, your next challenge awaits, and this could be your opportunity to grow your career!At the Fines Unit we embrace a contemporary, flexible and responsive culture and workplace that balances the needs of our clients and our people.The Fines Enforcement and Recovery Unit (Fines Unit) is a business unit within the Department of Treasury and Finance, responsible for the effective collection and enforcement of overdue fines and other debts owed to the state to assist in meeting the overall strategic objectives.The Collections Officer is responsible for acting as first point of contact in the collection of fines, providing prompt and accurate information to clients with outstanding fines, using empathy and good communication skills to resolve their query achieving first contact resolution.Special ConditionsRostering requirements exist as our environment is scheduled to meet business needs, so start and finish times will be set according to resourcing needs.The incumbent will be required to:
  • Undertake and return a satisfactory General Employment Probity check, Working with Children Check and Fines History check.
  • Work at Port Adelaide and CBD Adelaide according to business needs.

  • Experience in managing electronic payments Experience in providing a high level of customer service in a high-volume contact or team environment (contact centre or customer service environment).
