This is a community-based, therapeutic role, where support is primarily delivered in the family home across the Central Coast.Your focus will be on building trusting relationships with parents and carers, supporting them to strengthen their parenting skills, improve family functioning, and create safer environments for their children. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, using trauma-informed and culturally safe approaches to promote healing, stability, and long-term wellbeing.You will be part of a service that puts children's safety at the centre, while also recognising the importance of supporting the whole family unit. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early intervention and committed to breaking cycles of violence, abuse, and neglect through compassionate, skilled, and consistent care.This role is suitable for the following:
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist Gde 2
  • Occupational Therapist Lvl 3
  • Psychologist
  • Social Work Lvl 3.
For more information about this role, please viewAbout YouYou hold relevant qualifications and experience as a Nurse, Social Worker, Psychologist, Senior Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Counsellor.You have experience working with vulnerable families, children, and young people, preferably in family preservation or child protection settings.You understand the impact of violence, abuse, and neglect on children and families, and apply a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strengths-based approach.You are skilled at building trusting relationships with families, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect.You are committed to professional development and continuous learning to enhance your practice.You are flexible, resilient, and able to manage complex and challenging situations with professionalism and compassion.Benefits
