- The primary purpose of this role is to enable the successful delivery of Major Projects' capital program by providing expert portfolio support, strategic coordination, and data-driven insights.
- The role ensures that governance processes are effectively managed from submission through to final approval, while also supporting executive leadership through the preparation of high-quality materials and timely follow-up of actions.
- By leading the forward planning of Board and external approvals, developing robust capital delivery reports, and analysing complex cost and schedule data, the role contributes to informed decision-making and proactive risk management.
- It plays a critical part in raising standards across systems, processes, and capability, ultimately enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and performance of the entire capital delivery portfolio.
- Support the coordination of the approvals process from submission through to final approval across relevant governance forums.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of periodic MG Executive Team meetings, including developing presentations and tracking follow-up actions.
- Contribute to the forward planning of Board and External Approval submissions, helping to ensure timelines are realistic and achievable.
- Assist in the preparation of capital delivery reports and presentations, including gathering and organizing required data and information.
- Conduct analysis and support the interrogation of cost and schedule metrics across multiple complex projects and programs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and capabilities related to cost, schedule, and risk management.
- Support the development and maintenance of data models that ensure accurate management of budgets, forecasts, schedules, and estimates.
- Analyse cost and schedule data to help identify trends and emerging issues, and support the management team in determining corrective actions and focus areas.
- Deliver high-quality and timely portfolio support services to all areas of Major Projects.
- Minimum requirement is a Degree in Construction.
- Strong understanding of Project cost, schedule and Power BI
- 5+ years cost management experience, preferably in a private practice or construction organisation.
