
Senior Mine Planning Specialist

- Service customers through delivering solutions and troubleshooting support across the MinePlan suite, for our global customer base.
- Develop and facilitate documentation to the Product Development team and assist in capturing and identifying information about software issues (defects) and requests for enhancements (RFEs).
- Effectively detect potential issues to offer solutions and responses to clients in the most timely and accurate manner regarding the use of Hexagon MinePlan software
- Attend and present product demonstrations at industry leading conferences or seminars.
- Collaborate with Sales/Business development on pre bid and post sale support.
- Ensure compliance with Hexagon's Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, participation in audits and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of yourself and the safety of others where appropriate.
- Act as the advisor/interlink between Sales & Customers for ongoing optimised service offering opportunities
- Participate in on-call support activities on a roster basis which may include after hours, weekends and public holidays.
- Maintain and embody a customer centric service mindset, partnering across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Background in Mining operations and exposure to working with mine operating/planning software
- Experience in technical sales or service support roles, working in a client facing solution focused position.
- Experienced in working with multiple cross functional departments for sales/service support requirements, building a cohesive working culture
- Customer Centric with an analytical mindset and proactive solution focused approach to problem solving
- Self starter, with ability to manage portfolio and activities in a timely manner
- Travel (interstate and overseas) will be a requirement of this role to deliver services to clients at client sites. General time is 7-10 days, all flights/accommodation covered by business
- Valid Australian working rights: Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree/Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineer or Geology, understanding of the production/Drill & Blast environment
- Experience working with HXGN MinePlan Software suite
- Experience with the Python programming language
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases.
